How our content, branding & tools may be used.
The Lenders Network is a home loan comparison and education platform, not a lender. We invest in creating original content, tools, and branding to help you compare independent lenders. This Copyright & IP Policy explains how our intellectual property is protected, what limited rights you have to use it, and how to report potential infringement.
- Most text, design, and tools on our site are owned or licensed by The Lenders Network.
- You may use our content for personal, non‑commercial purposes, but you can’t republish or resell it as your own.
- Our trademarks, logos, and branding cannot be used to suggest endorsement or affiliation without written permission.
- If you believe your copyrighted work appears on our site without authorization, you can contact us to request review.
This policy works together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Service Disclaimer.
1. Ownership of content and materials
Unless otherwise indicated, The Lenders Network or its licensors own the rights in and to:
- The text, articles, guides, and educational content on our websites.
- Page layouts, design elements, icons, and custom graphics.
- Logos, trade dress, and branding associated with The Lenders Network.
- Certain tools, calculators, and interactive features we provide.
- Underlying code and software that power our comparison experience (subject to open‑source or third‑party components).
These materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We retain all rights that are not expressly granted in this policy or in our Terms of Use.
2. Limited license for personal, non‑commercial use
We grant you a limited, revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to:
- Access and view our websites and content; and
- Print or download reasonable portions for your own personal, non‑commercial use, such as researching mortgages.
Under this license, you may not:
- Republish our content on another website, app, or platform without permission.
- Sell, resell, or commercially exploit our materials or tools.
- Remove, obscure, or alter copyright or trademark notices.
- Create derivative works that present our content as your own original work.
If you want to quote or reference our content in a commercial context (for example, on a lender’s website, blog, or marketing materials), you should contact us for written permission first.
3. Prohibited uses of our intellectual property
In addition to restrictions in our Terms of Use, you agree not to:
- Use automated tools to systematically copy or scrape large portions of our site without written consent.
- Frame or mirror our pages in a way that misleads users into thinking our content is part of another site.
- Use our logos, trademarks, or branding in domain names, ads, email headers, or materials that suggest we sponsor or endorse your business.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access our source code, except where allowed by applicable law.
We reserve the right to revoke your limited license to use our content if we reasonably believe you are misusing our intellectual property or violating applicable laws.
4. Trademarks, branding, and third‑party marks
Names, logos, and other brand identifiers associated with The Lenders Network are protected as trademarks, service marks, or trade dress under applicable law. You may not use our marks in a way that:
- Is likely to cause confusion about your relationship with us; or
- Suggests endorsement, sponsorship, or approval by The Lenders Network where none exists.
Our site may also display names or logos of:
- Independent lenders and financial institutions;
- Technology or data providers; and
- Other third‑party brands.
Those marks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on our site does not grant you any rights to use them and does not mean those third parties endorse every aspect of The Lenders Network.
5. Third‑party content, licenses, and feeds
Some content on our platform may come from third parties, including:
- Lenders, brokers, or other partners describing their products or services.
- Embedded tools, calculators, or widgets provided under separate licenses.
- Stock images or graphics used under license from their owners.
Rights in such content are typically held by those third parties and used by The Lenders Network under license. You must respect any additional license terms that apply to that content and cannot assume you have a right to reuse it outside our platform.
Where feasible, we may indicate when content is provided or powered by a third party, but not all third‑party sources will be individually labeled.
6. User submissions, reviews, and feedback
If you submit content to us — for example, feedback, reviews, comments, questions, or suggestions (collectively, “User Submissions”) — you:
- Represent that you have the right to share that content and that it does not infringe the rights of others; and
- Grant The Lenders Network a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your User Submissions in connection with operating, improving, and promoting our services.
We may, but are not obligated to:
- Review User Submissions for accuracy or compliance with our policies.
- Edit, remove, or decline to display User Submissions at our discretion.
We do not assume responsibility for statements or opinions in User Submissions and do not treat them as our own official views.
7. Reporting potential copyright or IP infringement
If you believe material on The Lenders Network infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you can contact us with a request for review. Your notice should, at a minimum, include:
- Identification of the work you believe is infringed (for example, title, type of work, and where it was originally published).
- The URL or location of the allegedly infringing material on our site.
- Your name, contact information, and your relationship to the rights holder.
- A clear statement that you believe the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
We may reach out for additional information and may remove or restrict access to content while we review a claim. Submitting a false or misleading claim can carry legal consequences, so you should only submit a notice if you have a good‑faith basis to do so.
This process is meant to address potential infringement on our site only. It does not give us authority to resolve disputes about content hosted or controlled by independent lenders or other third parties.
8. Linking to our site vs. copying our content
We generally welcome:
- Standard hyperlinks from other sites pointing users to our pages; and
- References that credit The Lenders Network as the source.
We do not authorize:
- Copy‑and‑paste republication of our articles or entire pages on other sites without permission.
- Automated scraping or “cloning” of our comparison tools to create competing services.
- Framing that hides our URL or makes our content appear as part of another brand’s experience.
If you’re not sure whether your planned use is permitted, contact us and describe what you want to do.
9. How our non‑lender role relates to IP
Because The Lenders Network is not a lender, our value is in:
- Loan education and comparison content;
- Tools that help borrowers understand offers from multiple independent lenders; and
- Structures that let lenders compete for your business through our network.
Misuse of our content or tools — for example, copying our guides into a lender’s marketing materials without attribution, or cloning our comparison flows — undermines that model. Protecting our IP is part of maintaining a level playing field where lenders compete on product and service, not on borrowed content.
For more about our role and how we get paid, see Is The Lenders Network a Lender? and Partner Transparency.
10. Changes to this Copyright & IP Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect:
- Changes in our services, content, or branding;
- Updates to intellectual property laws or legal guidance; or
- Adjustments to how we handle user submissions and third‑party content.
When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice where required. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect indicates that you acknowledge the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
