How to limit calls from us and our partners.
The Lenders Network is a loan comparison site, not a lender. When you share your phone number, you may receive calls from us and from independent mortgage lenders in our network. This Do Not Call Policy explains how telemarketing calls may occur, how Do Not Call rules apply, and how to opt out or limit calls.
- You can ask The Lenders Network to stop marketing calls to your number at any time.
- You can also ask individual lenders to stop calling you; they maintain their own Do Not Call lists.
- Being on a Do Not Call list may not block all calls, such as certain transactional or informational calls.
- Our role is to connect you with lenders; we are not responsible for how non‑partner companies contact you.
For broader communication controls, see Contact Preferences and Privacy Policy.
How calls happen in a loan comparison network
The Lenders Network operates a loan comparison platform. We are not a lender, but we help you connect with independent mortgage companies who may be able to serve you. When you provide a phone number through our tools, there are a few ways calls may occur:
- Calls from The Lenders Network, for example to clarify your request or ask about your experience.
- Calls from participating lenders that received your information after you requested contact or quotes.
- Calls from other service providers we may introduce you to, such as real estate professionals, where applicable.
This policy explains how to limit or stop marketing calls from The Lenders Network and from lenders who receive your information through us. If you give your information directly to other companies, their Do Not Call practices are governed by their own policies.
National and state Do Not Call registries
In many jurisdictions, consumers can register their phone numbers with national or state Do Not Call registries intended to reduce unsolicited telemarketing calls. In the United States, for example, there is a National Do Not Call Registry maintained by a government agency.
Being on a Do Not Call registry typically:
- Limits certain types of unsolicited telemarketing calls from companies with which you do not have a relationship.
- May not block calls from companies you have an existing or recent relationship with, or from entities whose calls are exempt under applicable rules.
- Does not usually stop all calls, such as some informational, political, or charitable calls, depending on the law.
Registering your number on a national or state Do Not Call list is often a good baseline step, but you may still receive calls in connection with requests you make through The Lenders Network or directly with lenders.
Official resources for Do Not Call registries are typically provided by government agencies. You should rely on those sources for authoritative instructions and current rules.
The Lenders Network’s internal Do Not Call list
In addition to any national or state registries, The Lenders Network maintains its own internal Do Not Call list. If you ask us not to call a particular phone number for marketing purposes, we will add that number to our internal list and make reasonable efforts to avoid marketing calls to that number.
You can ask to be added to our internal Do Not Call list by:
- Telling a representative on the phone that you do not want future marketing calls.
- Emailing us at support@thelendersnetwork.com with your name and phone number.
- Writing to us by mail (address below) and clearly stating your request and the number(s) to include.
When you make a request, please give us enough information to identify your record (for example, the phone number you used with our forms). We will honor Do Not Call requests within a reasonable time frame as required by applicable law.
Lenders’ own Do Not Call obligations
Independent lenders and other partners in our network are separate companies. They generally maintain their own internal Do Not Call lists and have their own legal obligations under telemarketing rules and consumer protection laws.
When we pass your information to a lender, we may also pass along certain preferences (such as your request to be contacted by email instead of phone, where available). However:
- Each lender is responsible for honoring your preferences and Do Not Call requests in its own systems.
- If you want a lender to stop calling you, you should tell that lender directly and follow its opt-out process.
- We cannot guarantee or control how a lender you independently provided your phone number to handles its Do Not Call list.
If you believe a lender obtained your number through our platform and is not honoring your Do Not Call request, you may also contact us to provide feedback. While we may not be able to resolve every dispute, we may consider this information in evaluating our relationship with that lender.
What Do Not Call does not block
It is important to understand that being on a Do Not Call list — whether national, state, or internal — usually does not block all phone calls. For example, you may still receive:
- Calls from a lender you are actively working with about an application, underwriting conditions, closing, or servicing of your loan.
- Calls considered informational, transactional, or legally required (such as certain notices or reminders), where permitted by law.
- Calls from companies you have given your number to in other contexts or calls that fall under legal exceptions.
Do Not Call protections typically focus on unsolicited telemarketing, not communications related to your ongoing transactions or contacts you have clearly requested. If you are unsure whether a call should be happening, you can ask the caller why they are calling, how they obtained your number, and how to opt out.
Text messages, Do Not Call, and opting out
Text messages related to our services or to lenders’ offers may be treated differently from voice calls under some laws, but the principles are similar: you can often opt out of marketing texts by replying with a recognized keyword such as “STOP”, and you should follow any instructions in the message.
In general:
- If you receive a text from The Lenders Network and no longer wish to receive texts from that program, reply “STOP” to the message or contact us through the channels listed below.
- If you receive a text from a lender, follow the opt-out instructions in that message or contact the lender directly.
As with calls, opting out of marketing texts does not always stop all texts, such as certain security alerts or important account-related messages allowed or required by law.
For more detail on channels and permissions, see our Contact Preferences page.
